Welcome to Onside.
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Onside website, platform, marketplace, recruiting tools, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”).
The Platform is operated by Onside (“Onside,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By creating an account, accessing the Platform, or using any Onside service, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Platform.
1. About Onside
Onside is a technology platform designed to help soccer players connect with college soccer programs and navigate the college recruiting process.
The Platform may allow:
- Players to create recruiting profiles and make themselves discoverable to college coaches.
- Players to search for college programs and conduct recruiting outreach.
- College coaches to discover and evaluate prospective players.
- Clubs and academies to list and manage eligible players.
- Agencies and representatives to list and manage players they are authorized to represent.
- Users to access recruiting information, tools, contact information, and other features offered by Onside.
Onside is a marketplace and technology platform.
Unless explicitly agreed otherwise in writing, Onside is not acting as a sports agent, university admissions representative, NCAA eligibility authority, scholarship provider, or representative of any college or university.
2. Eligibility to Use Onside
You must provide accurate information when creating and maintaining an Onside account.
If you are legally unable to enter into these Terms on your own, your use of the Platform must be authorized by a parent, legal guardian, or other person legally permitted to provide such authorization where required by applicable law.
Because many prospective college athletes are minors, additional consent or authorization requirements may apply depending on the user’s age and country of residence.
Onside may request verification of age, identity, organizational affiliation, or authorization to use the Platform.
You may not use Onside if you have previously been permanently removed from the Platform unless Onside expressly authorizes your return.
3. Account Types
Onside may offer different account types, including:
Player Accounts. Player accounts allow prospective student-athletes to create profiles, provide athletic and academic information, upload or link video content, search college programs, conduct outreach, and participate in the Onside marketplace.
College Coach Accounts. College Coach accounts are intended for authorized representatives of colleges, universities, and eligible athletic programs.
Club and Academy Accounts. Club and Academy accounts allow authorized organizations to list and manage players associated with their programs.
Agency Accounts. Agency accounts allow authorized agencies or representatives to list and manage players they are authorized to represent.
Onside may introduce, modify, or discontinue account types or features over time.
4. Account Information
You agree to provide information that is accurate, current, and complete.
You are responsible for keeping your information updated.
You may not:
- Create an account using false information.
- Impersonate another person or organization.
- Misrepresent your relationship with a player, club, agency, school, or university.
- Create profiles for individuals without appropriate authorization.
- Allow unauthorized individuals to access your account.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for activity occurring through your account.
If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us through our contact form.
5. Player Profiles
Players may provide information including:
- Name
- Age or date of birth
- Nationality
- Location
- Height and weight
- Playing position
- Current and previous clubs
- Playing history
- Statistics
- Achievements
- Graduation year
- Academic information
- GPA
- Recruiting preferences
- Highlight videos
- Match footage
- Photos
- Contact information
- Other recruiting information
Players are responsible for ensuring this information is accurate.
Providing false athletic, academic, eligibility, or personal information may result in profile removal or account suspension.
6. Onside Marketplace
Player profiles may be made available through the Onside marketplace to eligible users, including college coaches and other authorized users.
Marketplace visibility does not guarantee that a player will:
- Be viewed by a coach.
- Be contacted by a program.
- Receive recruiting interest.
- Receive an offer.
- Receive a scholarship.
- Be admitted to a college or university.
- Make a college roster.
- Receive professional opportunities.
Recruiting decisions are made independently by colleges, universities, coaches, athletic departments, and other third parties.
Onside does not control these decisions.
7. Club and Academy Player Listings
Authorized clubs and academies may create or manage player profiles through Onside. These may include:
- Academy players
- U19 or U21 players
- B-team players
- First-team players
- Recently released players
- Players with expiring contracts
- Free agents
- Other eligible players
By creating or managing a player profile, the organization represents that it has appropriate authority and permission to provide the player’s information to Onside and make that information available through the Platform.
Organizations must ensure that player information remains accurate and must update a player’s status when circumstances materially change.
Additional authorization may be required when the player is a minor.
8. Agency Player Listings
Agencies and representatives may create and manage profiles only for players they are authorized to represent or otherwise have permission to list.
An agency may not knowingly:
- List a player without authorization.
- Falsely claim to represent a player.
- Continue representing itself on Onside as a player’s current agency after the relevant relationship has ended.
- Provide materially inaccurate information about a player’s contractual or recruiting situation.
Onside may request evidence of representation or authorization.
9. Player Ownership and Profile Claims
A player profile represents the individual player, not the club or agency that originally created the profile.
A club or agency that creates a profile does not permanently own the player’s identity or profile.
Onside may allow a player to claim a profile that was created on their behalf.
Onside may request verification before transferring or providing profile access.
A player may also request correction of inaccurate information or dispute an organization relationship shown on their profile.
Where a dispute exists between a player and an organization, Onside may temporarily restrict, modify, or remove disputed information while reviewing the situation.
10. College Coach Accounts
College Coach accounts are intended for legitimate college recruiting purposes.
Coaches agree to provide accurate information concerning their identity, institution, and role.
Onside may verify coach accounts.
College coaches may not use player information obtained through Onside to:
- Sell player information.
- Build or distribute unrelated databases.
- Conduct unauthorized marketing.
- Harass players.
- Scrape the Platform.
- Redistribute private player information without authorization.
- Use player information for purposes unrelated to legitimate recruiting or athletic opportunities.
Coaches are responsible for complying with applicable institutional, conference, NCAA, NAIA, NJCAA, and other relevant recruiting requirements.
11. Recruiting Outreach
Onside may provide tools that allow players, clubs, agencies, or other eligible users to identify college programs and conduct recruiting outreach.
These tools may include:
- College program search
- Coach contact information
- Email templates
- Personalized recruiting emails
- Outreach tracking
- Follow-up tracking
- Saved programs
- Recruiting progress tools
Users decide which programs they contact and are responsible for communications they send.
Onside does not guarantee that contact information is always current or that a coach will receive, open, read, or respond to a communication.
Users may not use Onside Outreach to send spam, harassment, fraudulent messages, or unlawful communications.
12. AI-Assisted Features
Certain Onside features may use artificial intelligence to assist users with tasks such as creating recruiting emails or other content.
AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, or inaccurate information.
You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated content before using or sending it.
Onside does not guarantee that AI-generated communications will be accurate, effective, personalized correctly, or result in recruiting interest.
You may not use Onside’s AI features for fraud, impersonation, harassment, deception, or other prohibited activity.
Information submitted to AI-powered features may be processed by third-party service providers as described in our Privacy Policy.
13. Coach and Program Information
Onside may provide information about colleges, athletic programs, and coaching staff.
This information may include publicly available professional contact information.
Although Onside attempts to maintain useful and accurate information, coaching staffs, roles, email addresses, program details, divisions, and other information may change.
Onside does not guarantee that all information is complete, accurate, or current.
Users should independently verify important information before relying on it.
You may not scrape, copy, resell, redistribute, or create a competing database using Onside’s coach or program information.
14. NCAA, NAIA, NJCAA, and Other Eligibility
Onside is not an eligibility authority.
Onside is not affiliated with or authorized to make eligibility determinations on behalf of the NCAA, NAIA, NJCAA, any athletic conference, college, or university unless expressly stated otherwise.
Any eligibility information displayed on the Platform is informational only.
Players are responsible for confirming their eligibility directly with the relevant governing organization and educational institution.
An eligibility status displayed on Onside should not be interpreted as an official eligibility determination.
15. Admissions and Scholarships
Onside does not control university admissions or financial aid decisions.
Creating an Onside profile or communicating with a college coach does not guarantee:
- University admission.
- Athletic admission support.
- Academic admission.
- Financial aid.
- Athletic scholarship funding.
- A particular scholarship amount.
- Continued scholarship funding.
Users should confirm scholarship, admissions, financial aid, and roster information directly with the relevant institution.
16. User Content
“User Content” means information or material submitted, uploaded, linked, published, or otherwise provided through Onside. This may include photos, highlight videos, match footage, player biographies, statistics, academic information, playing history, achievements, documents, club information, agency information, recruiting preferences, and other materials.
You retain your rights in User Content to the extent you legally own those rights.
By providing User Content to Onside, you grant Onside a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, format, and distribute that content as reasonably necessary to operate, improve, market, and provide the Platform, subject to applicable law and our Privacy Policy.
You represent that you have the rights and permissions necessary to provide the User Content.
17. Photos, Videos, and Match Footage
You may only upload or link photos, videos, match footage, or other media that you have the legal right or appropriate permission to use.
Onside may support links or embeds from third-party services such as YouTube. Third-party content and services are governed by their own terms and policies.
Onside is not responsible for the availability, removal, accuracy, or operation of content hosted by third parties.
18. Intellectual Property
The Onside Platform, including its software, interface, design, branding, logos, databases, proprietary features, and original content, is owned by Onside or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Except as expressly permitted through the Platform, you may not:
- Copy Onside’s software.
- Reproduce substantial portions of the Platform.
- Reverse engineer the Platform where prohibited by law.
- Scrape Onside data.
- Copy or resell Onside databases.
- Use Onside branding without authorization.
- Build a competing recruiting database using information extracted from Onside.
Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of Onside intellectual property to you.
19. Acceptable Use
You may not use Onside to:
- Create fraudulent accounts.
- Impersonate another person.
- Misrepresent athletic experience.
- Falsify academic information.
- Falsify recruiting credentials.
- Falsely represent a club, agency, or university.
- Harass or threaten another user.
- Send spam.
- Upload malicious software.
- Attempt unauthorized access to another account.
- Interfere with Platform security.
- Scrape or automatically harvest Platform information without permission.
- Sell or redistribute protected Platform data.
- Upload content that violates another person’s rights.
- Engage in unlawful activity.
- Circumvent restrictions or security measures.
- Exploit information about minors for unauthorized purposes.
Onside may investigate suspected violations and take appropriate action.
20. Organization Verification
Onside may offer verification for clubs, academies, agencies, coaches, or other organizations.
Verification means only that Onside has completed the verification steps it specifies at the relevant time. Verification does not constitute an endorsement, guarantee, accreditation, or representation concerning an organization’s quality, conduct, financial condition, reputation, or services.
Onside may remove verification at any time if information becomes inaccurate or the organization violates these Terms.
21. Paid Services and Subscriptions
Certain Onside features may require payment. Current pricing and included features will be displayed before purchase.
Where a subscription automatically renews, the billing terms and renewal frequency will be disclosed during checkout. Unless otherwise stated, subscriptions continue until canceled.
Users may cancel subscriptions through the available account controls or by following the cancellation instructions provided by Onside. Cancellation generally prevents future renewal and does not automatically create a right to a refund for amounts already paid, except where required by law or expressly stated in the applicable purchase terms.
Onside may change prices in the future. Where required, users will receive notice before new pricing applies to an existing subscription. Applicable taxes may be added to purchases. Payment processing may be performed by third-party payment processors.
22. Free Services
Onside may provide some services free of charge. The availability of a free feature today does not guarantee that the feature will remain free permanently.
Onside may modify, introduce limits on, discontinue, or charge for features in the future, subject to applicable law and any existing paid commitments.
23. Privacy
Your use of Onside is also governed by our Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy explains how Onside collects, uses, stores, and shares personal information.
Because Onside serves international users and prospective student-athletes, information may be processed in countries other than the user’s country of residence. Please review the Privacy Policy carefully before using the Platform.
24. Minors
Onside recognizes that many prospective college athletes are under 18. Where required by applicable law, Onside may require parental or guardian authorization before a minor may create an account, make certain information public, use particular features, or have a profile created by a club or agency.
Organizations submitting information about minors represent that they have obtained any authorization required by applicable law.
Onside may restrict features or visibility for minor users where appropriate. Nothing in these Terms eliminates rights or protections provided to minors under applicable law.
25. Third-Party Services
Onside may integrate with or link to third-party services, including video platforms, payment processors, email providers, analytics providers, authentication providers, and artificial intelligence providers.
Onside does not control those services. Your use of third-party services may be governed by separate terms and privacy policies. Onside is not responsible for third-party services except to the extent required by applicable law.
26. No Recruiting Guarantee
Onside provides tools, technology, information, and marketplace access.
Onside does not guarantee recruiting outcomes. In particular, Onside does not guarantee profile views, coach responses, recruiting interest, trials, campus visits, roster positions, offers, scholarships, admissions, eligibility, visas, playing time, professional opportunities, or professional contracts.
Past results of other users do not guarantee future results.
27. User Interactions
Onside may facilitate connections between players, coaches, clubs, agencies, and other users. Onside does not control the conduct of users outside the Platform.
Users are responsible for evaluating opportunities and individuals they interact with. You should independently verify important claims, particularly those involving scholarships, payments, contracts, representation, travel, housing, admissions, visas, trials, employment, or professional opportunities.
Report suspicious or inappropriate activity through our contact form.
28. Suspension and Termination
Onside may restrict, suspend, or terminate an account where reasonably necessary, including for:
- Violation of these Terms.
- Fraud.
- Impersonation.
- False information.
- Unauthorized player listings.
- Abuse or harassment.
- Security threats.
- Illegal activity.
- Intellectual property violations.
- Repeated complaints.
- Failure to pay applicable fees.
Where appropriate, Onside may provide notice or an opportunity to correct an issue before termination. Users may stop using Onside or request account deletion subject to our Privacy Policy and applicable data-retention obligations.
29. Platform Availability
We work to keep Onside available and functioning, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Platform may occasionally be unavailable due to maintenance, technical problems, security issues, third-party service failures, updates, or events outside our reasonable control.
Features may change as Onside develops.
30. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Onside is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
Onside does not warrant that:

- Every coach account is current.
- Every program record is current.
- Every email address will work.
- Every communication will be delivered.
- Recruiting information will be error-free.
- Use of Onside will result in a particular recruiting outcome.
Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
31. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Onside and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, affiliates, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or relating to use of the Platform.
This includes, where legally permitted, losses resulting from recruiting decisions, lost opportunities, third-party conduct, data loss, or reliance on information provided through the Platform.
Onside’s aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Platform will be limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you paid to Onside in the 12 months before the claim or (b) USD $100, except where applicable law does not permit such limitation.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain liability limitations. In those jurisdictions, these limitations apply only to the extent permitted by law.
32. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Onside and its officers, directors, employees, affiliates, and representatives from claims arising from your misuse of the Platform, your violation of these Terms, content you submit, your violation of another person’s rights, unauthorized player listings, or false representations made through your account.
This provision does not apply where prohibited by applicable law.
33. Copyright and Intellectual Property Complaints
If you believe content on Onside infringes your copyright or other intellectual property rights, contact us through our contact form. Please include sufficient information for Onside to identify the content and evaluate the request.
Onside may remove allegedly infringing material while reviewing a complaint.
34. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by applicable law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer protection laws require otherwise.
Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Platform will be handled by courts of competent jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer protection laws require otherwise. Users in certain jurisdictions may have mandatory rights that cannot be waived by these Terms.
35. Changes to These Terms
Onside may update these Terms as the Platform develops. If we make material changes, we may notify users through the Platform, by email, or through another appropriate method.
The updated Terms will display a new “Last Updated” date. Where required by law, we will request renewed acceptance before updated Terms take effect.
36. Changes to the Platform
Onside is an evolving service. We may add, modify, restrict, or discontinue features. Nothing in these Terms guarantees that a specific feature will remain available indefinitely.
If a change materially affects a paid subscription, we will address the change in accordance with applicable law and the applicable subscription terms.
37. Electronic Communications
By creating an account, you agree that Onside may send transactional communications relating to your account, security, recruiting activity, Platform functionality, purchases, changes to services, and legal notices.
Marketing communications will be handled in accordance with applicable law and your available communication preferences.
38. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any additional terms applicable to specific Onside services, constitute the agreement between you and Onside concerning your use of the Platform.
If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect to the extent permitted by law. Failure by Onside to enforce a provision does not waive our right to enforce it later.
